Urgent Prayer Request!

This morning Will and I rushed to the hospital to meet a friend who took his niece and nephew to the emergency room after their school bus collided with a large truck, killing the driver and one child instantly. Rosemary, 11 years old, had a minor head injury and cuts. She was released from the hospital this afternoon. Her brother, Solomon, who is 9 years old, suffered a major head injury, needing surgery. Please pray that Solomon will be OK. Kenyan medicine is not like American, and the frustration of that today made us extra worried, as it took 5 hours before he saw a neurologist for his injuries. Pray Solomon receives good medical care and God protects his brain from damage.

  1. I will be praying. I don't know you, but I spent a year at the Limuru Childrens Centre (when i was in Kenya with Kim Pace) so I read your blog to try to catch glimpses of the children. Can you tell me the names of the two kids that were killed - the link on your blog didn't list their names... thanks. - hannah

  2. hHannah, thanks for checking in with the kiddos. The kids killed weren't from the Center. They were kids from the Limuru area. The kids that we know in the accident were Patrick's niece and nephew (the man who runs the Children's Center). Solomon is still in the hospital in critical condition.

  3. thanks for your response, Kimberly. I just thought that they may have been some of the village children that the centre assisted while i was there. It's good to hear an update about Solomon. Will continue to pray for him and his family and the community!

  4. Hi Kim,
Blessings to you! I am just starting my day.
We have had had beautiful weather for the past week, after a long rainy June. The most rain on record for June to date.
Do you have photos of your wedding posted somewhere? I am slow at getting the scoop.
Will pray for you and your friends.
    Love,
    Dottie
